2tbspTrader Joe's Italian Bomba Hot Pepper Sauce (or pickled hot peppers / calabiran chilis)
4ozlow-moisture mozzarella cheese, torn or sliced
½cupgrated parmesan cheese
1ozspicy salami, sliced (I used the calabrese salami from Trader Joe's)
1 shallot, quartered
finely ground sea salt
basil leaves, for serving
Trader Joe's Organic Spicy Honey Sauce, for drizzling
Instructions
Preheat oven to 475 °F.
On a lightly floured work surface, roll out the pizza dough or shape it by hand. Transfer the pizza dough to a lightly oiled baking sheet (or use parchment paper).
Spread romanesco sauce on the dough, leaving a border for the pizza crust. Layer on the hot pepper sauce, mozzarella, and parmesan. Scatter salami on top of pizza.
Separate the shallot quarters into single "leaves" and toss with olive oil and salt in a small bowl. Arrange the shallot leaves on the pizza.
Bake pizza for 12 minutes.
Remove from oven. Top with torn basil leaves. Drizzle the spicy honey on the pizza. Slice and serve.
Notes
If you want to make a spicy dipping sauce for your pizza crust, I highly recommend mixing some Trader Joe's Italian Bomba Hot Pepper Sauce into a small bowl of ranch.
